🎯 聽之前

A writer of relationship comedies talks about turning a marriage, a row, and a compromise into scenes. Practice dialogue: what people say, and what they mean two lines later.

  • Which fights are about the topic, and which are about not being seen?
  • How does she make an ordinary domestic moment funny without mocking the people?
  • What accent or rhythm marks who is speaking?
  • Listen for compromise as a punchline, not only as a moral.

💬 重點句 6

先讀英文,想一下意思,再點「翻譯」。按 🔊 聽一次,然後跟著唸。

  1. The funny part of a marriage is rarely the speech. It is the second sentence.
  2. People do not say what they mean. They say what they can afford to say.
  3. A row about the bins is usually a row about respect wearing a small costume.
  4. Write the compromise, or the scene is just two monologues.
  5. Specific is kinder than general. "You forgot" hurts less than "you always."
  6. If both characters are right, the audience has to do some work.
